President Obama takes several minutes to talk about Operation Fast and Furious in March, including taking the time to note that the Department of Justice Inspector General had already been directed to launch a whitewash an internal investigation into the gun-walking plot.

It makes it rather difficult for the Attorney General to plausibly claim he didn’t hear about the Operation until much later, when documentation and video evidence shows that everyone around him was intimately aware of the program.
