The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

‘Occupy the food court’ responds

Written By: Bob - Nov• 27•11

A person calling himself Dyck Dewid has responded to my previous post about the lame attempt of Occupy Raleigh to take over the food court at Crabtree Valley Mall.

Dear Bob Owen,

Your forum is a precious learning tool…

For those ready to learn, like me that is. I’m viewing here a gathering of negative energy… a denial of our broad human connection and compassion– of those who must share this beautiful earth.

Hardened souls may say those adults & children who have lost homes, jobs, health care, savings, deserve their suffering of hunger, cold, humiliation, shame, depression, and all the rest of it… and that they should remain quiet & obedient.

Other hardened souls might say it is cowardly to remain silent & obedient in the face of authority who inflicts a tampered with, unjust, misapplied law, influenced by those who benefit from public repression.

Alas, there may be elements of truth in each view. This is what I’m learning here.

To add, we are ALL, without exception, governed by the higher laws of humanity… we all feel… we all have inner confusion & conflict… we all suffer… we can feel it when others suffer… it apparently takes a long time to overcome ignorance… we are all connected in these common attributes of life, no?

Dewid’s passive-aggressive reply is ripe for mockery, as is what passes for thought in the amalgam of failed tropes and cliches that make up Occupy “thought.” The movement is a mix of environmental extremist, animal rights nuts, anarchism, Marxist/Leninist and Maoism, blended with chemtrail conspiracies and 9/11 trutherism and just about every other bizarre leftist cause, masquerading as dime-store populism.

The pathetic reality of the movement is that the anti-business, big-government-solutions they champion are actually precisely what led us into our current economic mess.

You want a job? Get a worthwhile skill set. Don’t want to be in debt up to your eyeballs? Don’t buy massive flatscreen TVs and live within your means.

Occupy is the story of the ant and the grasshopper, told from the grasshopper’s point of view. I’m sorry if I just can’t bring myself to sympathy as their continue banging their drums.

So, let me get this straight: the Occutards are supposedly protesting against the 1%, so they go to the mall and attempt to cause problems for the 99%? What a perfect way for the Occutards to get people on their side: annoy the sh*t out of them. Only in Liberal World do they think that vinegar is better than strawberries (I hate honey).

Anyhow, this is interesting, from the N&O

The Wake magistrate set $500 bail for Galvin’s release because she has a pending case in connection with her arrest on Oct. 15, when Raleigh police charged her and 19 other members of Occupy Raleigh with trespassing on the state Capitol grounds.

The magistrate set bail for O’Neill, an activist and writer, at $1,500 because he has a pending case in Alamance County Superior Court and because he has been arrested numerous times in several states for trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, the magistrate said.

Gee I like this: “The movement is a mix of environmental extremist, animal rights nuts, anarchism, Marxist/Leninist and Maoism, blended with chemtrail conspiracies and 9/11 trutherism and just about every other bizarre leftist cause, masquerading as dime-store populism.”

If I had written it, not that I am a good enough writer to have written it, I would have added at the end: “…built upon a framework of radical union aggression against the hands that feed them.”

… but you can tell it doesn’t represent anywhere near 99% because they don’t have any people warning us of the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderbergs, fluoride polluting our precious bodily fluids, or a return to the gold standard.
