The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Something old, something new

I sent my friend Ken Boney home with my Detonics MTX to work his magic behind the camera, so that I’d have some “sexy” visuals for you to go along with my upcoming MTX range report. The only box of .45ACP hollowpoints in the ammo safe on hand as a prop was ancient.

Yes, I did PhotoShop out the last part of serial number.

It is hard to tell from these photos, but these are 1993-era Eldorado Starfires. The price on the 20-round box? $8.95. Oh, that you could still get decent defensive ammo at these prices…

I’ll be having minor outpatient surgery tomorrow and will be loopy on Percocet over the weekend, but I’ll try to get the MTX review and the rest of the photos posted on Monday.

You REALLY need to blog while loopy. It could be epic.

Just keep away from the guns…

I did that once on Robotussin DM during a bad cold, and thought AP PhotoShopped a picture of George W. Bush on an old Iraqi woman.

It would have been fine, but Drudge linked it, and then it was debunked. He hasn’t linked blogs since.

      Epic? Yeah, I’m THAT GUY.

I did the same thing on my blog while laid up with back pain when I ran with a story that Obama wasn’t wearing gold jewelry during Ramadan, later debunked by snopes.
