The stock, buttpad, and foreend connectors are tool-less (the barrels have always been), and there are plenty of options from which to choose. The connections are metal-on-metal (zinc-on-zinc, to be precise) to eliminate play and provide a solid, uh, connection. The first units will begin shipping in March.
