The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Obama’s murder spree continues to unravel

Senator Chuck Grassley and Congressman Darrell Issa sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holde a short time ago, demanding to know why the DOJ let a second gun-walking operation provide the weapons for the ambush of ICE Agents Jaime Zapata and Victor Avila. Zapata was killed in the ambush. Avila is still recovering from severe wounds.

The ATF knew that gun-runner Manuel Barba was obliterating the serial numbers of guns that were to be walked to Mexican drug cartels. This is vitally important. The Department of Justice’s current defense of the Fast and Furious gun-walking plot is that they were going to track the weapons they provided to the Sinaloa cartel to crime scenes where they were used in murders. Fast and Furious was dependent on Mexican’s being murdered with weapons provided by the Obama Justice Department. That fact in and of itself will eventually lead to criminal trials for Obama Administration officials.

But the Barba gun-walking operation in Texas proves that even that murderous conspiracy was a lie.

At least 40 of the Barba weapons that had their serial numbers obliterated. They could not be traced.

The Obama Administration provided thousand of weapons to Mexican narco-terrorists, weapons that they knew would be used for murder, including weapons that the Department of Justice knew could not be tracked. This goes beyond politics. This goes beyond political loyalties. This even goes beyond the deaths of the 300+ Mexican citizens and three U.S. agents gunned down with these weapons.

This Presidential Administration committed a series of felonies in an act of war against a neighbor and ally. The citizens of both countries deserve answers and accountability.

Perhaps I am overly dense, but how do obliterated serial numbers fit into the pretense for gun control narrative? Specifically, if the aim was to be able to point back to US FFL when guns were recovered, that cannot be accomplished with obliterated numbers.

It could be as simple as hoping that later shipments wouldn’t have their SN-s removed if they let these weapons go.
