Templar Custom “Dagger” integrally-suppressed barrel prototype

Written By: Bob - Feb• 28•12

Bob Reynolds of Templar Custom decided to tease me last night, and sent over a picture of an integrally-suppressed barrel prototype he is developing.

The prototype has 10 inches of rifled 223 Wylde barrel and 12 inches of suppressed area in a total package that is only 17 inches long and weights 3 pounds, 4 ounces. Considering a normal barrel and suppressor weigh around two pounds each, and the “Dagger” weighs a little more than half that while shifting the point of balance back towards the shooter, it should make shooting a suppressed AR a much less awkward experience.

How well does it work? Bob can shoot it in his workshop without another sort of additional hearing protection and his single word description of how well it works is “quiet.”

OHHH, that would be fun if it was chambered in 458 Socom.

Wow short gas system! Wouldn’t that make for some pretty violent cycling?
