Meet Brett Kimberlin. Brett Kimberlin has led a very interesting life.
I’d point you to his Wikipedia page, but apparently it has been scrubbed.
Residents of the town of Speedway have another name for Mr. Kimberlin. To them he is known as the “Speedway Bomber.” The Indy Star has a series of articles (part 1, part 2) about Mr. Kimberlin, which tell the story of a man with a lengthy criminal record, who was suspected of even more crimes, including murder and drug smuggling.
I was more or less unfamiliar with Brett Kimberlin until recently, when it was revealed that this domestic terrorist (is there a more accurate term that could apply?) was targeting conservative bloggers, who sought to reveal his past and connect that with his present involvement with far left groups supporting the Democratic Party and President Barack Obama.
Why do radical leftist terrorists keep turning up around Barack Obama?
Kimberlin is hardly the first (Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn have that distinction), but Kimberlin is apparently actively working for Democrats through something called Velvet Revolution. John Kerry’s wife and radical leftist crooner Barbra Streisand are apparently funding this group.
That such prominent Democrats would involve themselves with a convicted terrorist and suspected murderer and drug smuggler is bad enough if Kimberlin’s criminality were confined to the past, but he is apparently waging “lawfare” against bloggers who dare show his true nature, and has even driven one prominent blogger and his family into hiding as the fear for their safety. I’ll direct you to Michelle Malkin, who has an excellent run-down of Kimberlin’s current “reign of terror.”
All of this is horrific just as it stands, but it gets worse.
It seems that Kimberlin unwisely chose lawyers as his targets, and they have compiled enough compelling evidence to warrant a criminal investigation of Kimberlin’s actions, but authorities do not seem at all interested in pursuing the case.
The charges would apparently need to be brought in Maryland. Heavily Democratic Maryland. The same Democrats for which Kimberlin’s group advocates.
It isn’t smart to support terrorists, and it is dumber in an election year where the Obama Administration is already being investigated for the criminal actions of the gun-running plot known as Operation Fast and Furious.
This isn’t a smart time to sweep a dirty, deadly Democratic alliance under the rug, but time to bury it in the jail to distance yourself from such a vile person. My advice to Democrats currently burying this story would be to charge him, arrest him, and keep him this out of the limelight until after November.
Democrats dumb enough to work with known terrorists may not be bright enough to take that advice.
