Sooner or later, these bastards are going to learn that lots of good people carry firearms, and they aren’t going to put up with their crap.
A 16-year-old boy faces criminal charges after a shooting outside of a Port St. Lucie movie theater. But the teen was the intended target of the shooting, not the shooter, police said.
It happened about 2 a.m. Tuesday outside the Rave Theater. The crowd was leaving the theater, having just seen “The Dark Knight Rises.”
“It’s just a coincidence it was Batman. It could have been any movie,” Port St. Lucie Police Department Master Sgt. Frank Sabol said.
Police said the teen was trying to get back into the theater, claiming he had left his cellphone inside. He was moving against the crowd and he collided with a man and his wife, police said.
“He started an altercation with the victim, pushed his wife, punched him, grabbed him,” Sabol said.
Police said the teen’s three friends then joined in, and the two victims were surrounded. What the attackers did not know is one of the victims was armed with a handgun.
“He was being held. He was being grabbed from behind,” Sabol said. “He pulled his gun, and he shot two rounds.”
The punk faces battery charges, though likely a misdemeanor instead of the felony variety Trayvon Martin would have likely faced if he had survived his attack on George Zimmerman.
