The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Obama still hopelessly confused about prosperity

Written By: Bob - Jul• 17•12

A look at every dismal economic indicator his Presidency has turned out shows us that Obama knows economics like Britney Spears does astrophysics.

Prominent business groups are joining conservatives and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in calling out President Obama for his recent comments about the relationship between government and business.

The president made the comments Friday during a speech to supporters in Roanoke, Va. Arguing that successful business owners got help from others along the way and suggesting they should pay more in taxes in return, he noted how government often provides the infrastructure needed for success. “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that,” Obama said. “Somebody else made that happen.”

Parasites never empathize with their hosts.

Let me see, I went to college and medical school. Both were state run, so the government did help a little as tuition would not have covered all the useless state employees that were on the payroll. But then I did an internship and residency in the stae were I never saw an attending doc and got paid less than the prevailing poverty wage. So I figure that was a zero sum game, or maybe the state got the better end of the deal.

Then I set up practice. As per a Wall Street Journal article of 20 years ago, the government was actually in my way most of the time. The various rules, regulations, laws and other trash cost me money that was not tax. I would estimate that most doctors spend at least 30% more than necessary to keep up with government demands.

One little lession. When Clinton raised taxes, I fired people and stopped contributing to the others 401.

Obama is often called “unaware” or one who doesn’t understand, and other words to imply he can be educated to understand business mechanics if only he would listen. This is a basic concept that is not true. He will never “listen”. For him the only goal is to be reelected, and nothing else. To do this he has to fire up people who will accept his failures and listen to him, not his enemies. He is merely saying what this constituency wants to hear. It is a sad commentary on them but that is the way it is.
