One weekend a month I volunteer as an instructor with the Appleseed Project, teaching heritage, history, and marksmanship to my fellow Americans. As a matter of fact, I’ll be working the event at the home range in Ramsuer, NC, next weekend.
When students come to Appleseed, they typically bring a range of rifles… many of which areĀ “assault weapons” according to the less stable members of the political establishment. Take a look at what they’re trying to ban, and wonder why we elected such mentally defective individuals.

Bob I know your a gun guy but do you have any thoughts on crossbows, specifically I am looking at the Barnet Quad $ Penetrator. Yes I know it’s overpowered for deer hunting but I want a weapon that can bring down a 400lb boar if I run across one. Any thoughts?
Bob, I am an Appleseed Instructor as well (in Virginia). The marksmanship work is rewarding and the history told is equally important. I recommend the program to everyone.
The third benefit is the people you meet. I have worked an Appleseed once a month for about four years and I honestly can’t rememeber having anyone attend that wasn’t a great person to meet. It’s a fine place to meet people who have their heads screwed on straight. It’s enough to shore up your faith that we CAN save this once great Republic.
I recommend to every attendee that they come back, and bring their neighbors on both sides and across the street. It will help you sleep better at night.
