The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Yes, Barack Obama is a tyrant, just like the Founders warned us against.

Barack Obama. President. Tyrant.

Barack Obama. President. Tyrant.

ty·rant

/ˈtīrənt/
Noun

  1. A cruel and oppressive ruler.
  2. A person exercising power or control in a cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary way.

Synonyms
despot – oppressor

You can beat around the bush, guffaw if you would like, but that is an accurate description of the 44th President of the United States, and how he has chosen to define his presidency by his deeds.

Adam Freedman’s President Obama’s deep contempt for the rule of law details just some of the President’s unreasonable and arbitrary exercise of power:

The president’s attempted end-run around the Constitution should come as no surprise to those of us who have watched the decline of the rule of law these last four years. The president’s first term began, let us recall, with an auto “bailout” that robbed Chrysler bondholders to pay off the United Auto Workers.

When the Supreme Court recognized the free speech rights of corporations in Citizens United v. FEC, Obama first resorted to public humiliation of the justices on national TV. He later prepared an executive order that sought to coerce corporations from making political contributions under pain of forfeiting government contracts. It was only when news of the pending order leaked out that the administration quietly dropped the whole thing.

Under the Constitution, the president’s primary duty in domestic affairs is to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.” There’s no mystery about this imperative: it does no good for the People’s representatives to enact laws if the executive branch fails to implement the laws. And yet, the president has taken a pick-and-choose approach to this vital duty.

Obama did not like Bill Clinton’s Defense of Marriage Act, for example, so he declared that he wasn’t going to defend it. And he has routinely failed to enforce federal immigration laws; most egregiously in his executive order unilaterally exempting 800,000 illegal immigrants from the scope of federal law. Congress was not consulted. Why bother?

I’ve probably quoted more of the article than I should, but there is more there, and Freedman doesn’t even begin to touch on Obama’s extrajudicial killings of American by assassin and drone, or the terrifyingly loose rules of triggering such a killing, based solely on an unelected officials whim, without safeguards and without respect for borders or due process, that make his bloodthirsty government judge, jury and executioner.

This is the same Obama government that ran 2,500 firearms to Mexican cocaine cartels in Operation Fast and Furious, perhaps in order to carry out his promise to Sarah Brady to push for gun control, “under the radar” and above the law. Obama’s Attorney General is in criminal contempt of Congress. The U.S Attorney for Washington DC, an Obama loyalist, refuses to duty his duty and file charges.

This is the same Obama government that supplied Islamist groups aligned with al Qaeda with weapons, that is still dodging the fact it left an American Ambassador unprotected in a warzone, and then abandoned the dozens of survivors of the Benghazi attack, stopping a 100-man Marine rescue force on the way from Sicily in their tracks when Obama refused to grant cross border authority for the rescue.

This is the same Obama government arguably outfitting the Department of Homeland Security as the President’s private army, purchasing 7,000 personal defense weapons.

M-4-based Personal Defense Weapon (PDW)

M-4-based Personal Defense Weapon (PDW)

PDWs of the kind desired by DHS are very fascinating short-range firearms, with a very specific mission profile. The question is , what sort of mission profile would benefit from extremely short rifles for DHS? There are only two that I can easily think of. One is for the security details of high-value individuals, which isn’t a publicly-known mission of DHS, and would appear to beyond the scope of their mandate.

The other use for such weapon in the DHS’s hands is “door-kicking;” close quarters combat inside structures.  Why does the Department of Homeland Security need to outfit so many agents for close quarters combat within the United States?

That’s a question that the tyrant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue would rather you didn’t ask.

Funny; I just started doing this on Facebook yesterday!

I’m going to do one word a day from the OED. Do you know there are over 600,000 words in our language with words added and lost daily?

Here’s the Obama word of the day…what is it? It starts wih a “T”

Arbitrary or oppressive exercise of power; unjustly severe use of one’s authority; despotic treatment or influence; harsh, severe, or unmerciful action; with a and pl., an instance of this, a tyrannical act or proceeding.

    Today’s Obama word.

    despot

1.Hist. A word which, in its Greek form, meant ‘master’ or ‘lord’ (e.g. of a household, of slaves), and was applied to a deity, and to the absolute ruler of a non-free people; in Byzantine times it was used of the Emperor, and, as representing Latin magister, in various official titles, also as a form of address (= domine n. my lord) to the emperor, to bishops, and especially to patriarchs; from the time of Alexius Comnenus it was the formal title of princes of the imperial house; in the sense ‘lord’ or ‘prince’, it was borne, after the Turkish conquest, by the petty Christian rulers of dependent or tributary provinces, as the despots of the Morea or of Serbia (= Serbian hospodar). It was in this later application that the word was first known in the Western languages.

  4. Comrade X says:

“An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one which should not only be founded on free principles, but in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.”

If we are counting on the courts or the GOP for these checks, methinks we are screwed!

Have seen it…very real scenario, scary real. So many just go about their daily lives willfully surfing past the talking heads spewing bad news because it does not affect them immediately or directly. You bang your head on the desk at the arrogance of ignoring the reality literally coalesing before their very eyes. As I have said on this blog, it will hurt, but I will be turning away family members for their non participation in preparedness, and their arrogance of ignoring reality as if it did not exist.

I believe the lines in the sand have been crossed, but a trigger event…war in China Sea, Iran going nuke, executive order of banning, stock market collapse (BTW, hopium running up market on very low volume. HUGE bubble forming…keep your eyes on this one), that trigger event will propel us to activate. There will be civil war, then many will finally wake up from their lethargy. BEWARE of the Vichy collaborators though as someone made that good point yesterday.

Also BTW, why are drone strikes to kill Americans even being discussed? Is it an early warning to what the government is willing to do when the 2nd American revolution begins?

America is a sick old man gasping for his last breath…

    Soon to be Hagel’s paramilitary counter terrorism unit’s;

“But while more will surely be told about the ordeal in Alabama, which ended Monday with a late afternoon raid that saved Ethan but ended in the death of Dykes, it’s also clear that parts of the operation will remain shrouded in secrecy, given that it involved America’s most expert paramilitary counter-terrorism units collaborating with US special operations forces, under the direct authority of Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.

“This all rings of a unique covert operation,” says Randall Rogan, a crisis communications expert at Wake Forest University who has been following the story closely, adding the multiagency involvement is “atypical, quite honestly, for . what, after all, is not a significant terrorist event.”

“There may be some general overview and general description of what happened, but there won’t be full, complete disclosure,” he says. “And that’s understandable. There are people out there who pay attention and who would make note of it, who are cognizant of what transpired and how it transpired, and who may take steps to prevent that sort of tactic from being utilized in the future.”

there is no doubt that Obama is a tyrant. there is also no doubt that DHS has now defined many Americans as threats. these are strange times indeed.

in the meantime, we should be creating a list of politicians to be voted out in 2014 and those for whom we should support. A positive example is NY Senator Greg Ball who also issued a press release about the DHS and their description of the PDW.

    http://www.nysenate.gov/press-release/department-homeland-security-latest-highlight-flawed-logic-cuomo-gun-grab

Senator Greg Ball (Patterson – R, C, I) Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee said, “Now the Department of Homeland Security even agrees that these modern sporting firearms, made illegal by Governor Cuomo, are suitable for self defense. On top of that, a recent story reports that two RIT students who were legal gun owners were protected by an AR-15. The story may have had a very tragic ending, had Governor Cuomo’s anti-self defense bill been in full effect. If the story is accurate, their legal ownership of this modern sporting rifle evidently saved their lives. While Cuomo says ‘it doesn’t take 10 bullets to kill a deer’, it evidently only took an unloaded AR-15 to protect a household. Luckily these criminals struck before Governor Cuomo’s gun grab was fully unleashed.”

We must spread the word. We must try to wake up those who are asleep. We must unite.

The MD senate had a 8 hour hearing on the governor’s SB-281 gun grab law. It may be as bad as NYs. The liberal Washington Post estimated 3000 attended the rally and hearing. I suspect they were low. A lobbyist told me it was the largest crowd he had ever seem for a bill’s hearing. The MD senate president, I was also told, doesn’t like the bill, so if it gets out of committee it may just die if he doesn’t place it on the agenda. MD has a 90 days legislation session.

    http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmcommittees.aspx?pid=commsenaudio&tab=subject7

Citizens against the bill, SB-281, got little time. Panels of “experts” got most of the time. Citizens start at 6:28:33 on the audio. Select Judicial Proceedings for Wednesday, February 6th at the website.

    My statement:
We citizens are here today to persuade our state senate representatives that the 2nd Amendment places in writing the fundamental right of all citizens to bear arms and as the Amendment reads, “shall now be infringed.” The Supreme Court, in the McDonald decision, incorporated the 2nd Amendment giving it supremacy over state and local laws.

During my life, I have noted that with so many of the portions of our federal constitution, those on the liberal side of politics say it must extend benefits to the maximum number of people and is to be interpreted as widely as possible. Think of the privacy statement in the 14th Amendment. But “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” is somehow not specific enough.

The AR-15 is in the news lately, much maligned, and much misunderstood. The AR-15 is the modern musket for citizens. It is not an assault weapon as defined by the military since it is not a fully automatic firearm. It is a hunting firearm, a competition shooting firearm as well as a self defense firearm. And it is in keeping with the Founder’s original intent of citizen’s being armed with firearms of contemporary military utility to combat tyranny in any form. The veterans returning to McMinn County, TN were faced with such tyranny and defeated it in the Battle of Athens on August 2, 1946.

The lady in the news on January 9th of this year in Loganville, Georgia was really lucky when she shot an intruder. She shot him 5 times with her 6 shot revolver but the man still managed to leave her house and drive away in his vehicle. Had she been confronted with multiple intruders, her firearm was insufficient for her needed self protection. She would need a firearm with a high capacity magazine, as a store owner on August 9th near Augusta, GA recently did when confronted by 3 armed thieves.

Many stories can be told of foreign governments in the past which have introduced gun control, firearms registration with eventual confiscation, then the subjugation of the people, but we have seen that in our country as well. Gun control against African Americans was practiced during the decades of Jim Crow. This permitted hate groups and their government allies to intimidate, harass and deprive African Americans the means of self defense and a defense of their constitutional rights. Native Americans suffered the same fate and in the final confrontation with the US Army at Wounded Knee, they had their firearms confiscated and then 297 men, women and children were massacred. That was our Army.

The 2nd Amendment offers protection for the remainder of the constitution and provides the citizenry a last resort to oppose tyranny when the rule of law and the checks and balances of the constitution fail to protect them.

If elected officials do not like what the 2nd Amendment provides to citizens to protect themselves and their freedoms, then the proper way to manage that end is to amend the Federal Constitution; not pass unconstitutional laws.

Thank you for this opportunity to express my opinion on this vital issue as is granted by the 1st Amendment and protected by the 2nd.

      I think – here’s what you’re referring to:

      Paul Harvey on Guns
      Monday, November 06, 2000

Are you considering backing gun control laws? Do you think that because you may not own a gun, the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment don’t matter?

      CONSIDER:

In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million “educated” people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century. Since we should learn from the mistakes of history, the next time someone talks in favor of gun control, find out which group of citizens they wish to have exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, a program costing the government more than $500 million dollars. The results Australia-wide; Homicides are up 3.2%; Assaults are up 8%; Armed robberies are up 44%; In that country’s state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%.

Over the previous 25 years, figures show a steady decrease in armed robberies and Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in “safety” has been observed after such monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in “ridding society of guns.”

It’s time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws only affect the law-abiding citizens.

Poppy Bush’s drug smuggling partner, Noriega gets too big for his britches, and according to substantive and reliable information I’ve read in several books – tries to blackmail Poppy to increase his share of the drug profits pie. Poppy, being a typical Mob Boss – makes up some lame excuse about Noreiga being a dangerous drug trafficker and sends in the US Marines to kidnap his blackmailer? How is that a legal maneuver authorized in the Constitution? Answer: It isn’t.

With each succeeding White House – the crimes and the criminality and dictatorial behavior has gotten increasingly more bold and in the open. Obama is a tyrant, certainly. Whoever follows him will assume all of his criminal dictatorial methods and expound upon them.
