The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Cuomo: I’m a freaking moron. Let me suspend part of the law I rammed down your throats where I said you have to use things that don’t exist.

Andrew Cuomo rammed through the unconstitutional NY SAFE Act hoping it would vaunt him into the top position for the 2012 2016 Democratic Presidential nomination. How is that looking now, genius?

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s seven-round limit on magazines sold in New York will be suspended “indefinitely” by a measure in his $136.5 billion budget set to be passed this week, Dean Skelos, a Senate majority leader said.

The ban on magazines holding more than seven bullets was set to start April 15. Cuomo has said the law needs to be rolled back because manufacturers don’t make seven-round holders. The measure was a center piece to a gun law the 55-year-old Democratic governor pushed through the legislature in January, making New York the first state to respond with tougher gun regulations to the Newtown, Connecticut school massacre.

The budget “bill will have an indefinite postponement of the issue,” Skelos, the Long Island Republican who co-leads the Senate with a group of five breakaway Democrats, told reporters in Albany yesterday.

Josh Vlasto, a Cuomo spokesman, didn’t respond to an e-mail requesting comment.

The majority of the state is rebelling against the law, and lawsuits against it are cropping up daily. One can’t begin to predict how many felons this fascist law will make of otherwise law-abiding citizens, nor how many tens of millions of dollars are going to be spent litigating it that could have otherwise been used to benefit society.

This is an example of what arrogance looks like, and a shining example of a man without the discernment for higher office.

No it is just time to Implement it.

I guess that leaves Colorado’s Gov. Hickenlooper as the front man in banning standard capacity magazines. His reelection campaign (the opposition) has already begun in earnest. Hopefully we’ll rid ourselves of this disease.

  4. Bill says:

Any supply and demand minded fellas want to start shipping magazines this way as soon as that passes?

Limiting capacity of a magazine is stupid anyway and any laws they pass somebody else will find a way to circumvent it. In CA you can own and purchase standard capacity magazine just don’t assemble them and show it off in public. 10 round limit is required when going to the range but everyone knows CA gun owners owns plenty of the standard capacity magazines when SHTF.
