The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Mr. Beretta, where will you go?

It looks like Maryland Democrats are as keen as Colorado Democrats to push gun company’s to more freedom-loving states:

The Maryland Senate approved a sweeping gun-control bill Thursday that would give the state one of the strictest firearm laws in the country.

The contentious issue moved immediately to the House of Delegates, where the chamber’s first public hearing on the bill and a rally by supporters are expected to draw thousands to Annapolis on Friday.

The Senate’s 28-19 vote in support of Gov. Martin O’Malley‘s bill came after more than 12 hours of often-emotional debate Wednesday and Thursday. Supporters said the proposal — which would ban the sale of assault-type rifles and require a license to purchase a handgun — would save lives.

Beretta has already warned the state that it will not stay in a state where it cannot sell its products to residents, and they will take all their jobs and tax revenue with them.  West Virginia is already lobbying Beretta to move there, and I’m sure they aren’t the only contender.

It must be great to live in a state where your citizens don’t need jobs.

    Welcome to Maryland
    (You are now leaving America)

Please stop in at one of our DHS Welcome Stations, conveniently located at every border crossing. Don’t forget to try some free Kool Aid (Governor’s own recipe) served by our friendly staffers (Easily identified by their brown shirts). Please leave any copies of the American constitution or firearms with our genial employees, they will keep them safe for you. Also available, for those who owned the previously mentioned items, are cloth stars which, when sewn to your outer clothing, entitle you to “special benefits” while visiting our lovely state.

If at any time you become anxious, realizing that there are numerous historical precedents of governments, who having disarmed their people, making even the most prolific serial killers look like Little Bo Peep, just repeat to yourself the mantra, “Hope and Change and Rainbows” over and over until you are calm again.

We recommend that you visit our “Slippery Slope State Park”, it’s one of a kind!

Thank you and have a wonderful day (Unless otherwise instructed by state authorities)

The thing is that OweMalley and his cohorts are supported by Federal & State Employees who are very Leftist. They run around with “Choose Civility” on their cars and can’t figure out why their houses keep getting broken into by the Section 8 dwellers that live 1/2 mile away from their $500+ house. The B-W I-95 corridor has its head shoved up it’s collective arse.

  3. Klingonwork says:

Once again I say the Rubicon has been crossed…NY, Maryland, Colorado by passing those laws have deleted the 2nd ammendment..thus eliminating them all. Eliminating them nullifies the Constitution making them, in fact, TRAITORS.

Any more of this and Barry will be bold enough to issue an EO his staff has already drafted.

    Tread lightly and be ready.

Those that live behind enemy lines in places like MD or CO; please don’t give up the fight, résistance is the only way for patriots! Hopefully there will be petitions to overturn and elections to throw out the scoundrels. They may hold the cities but there is still rural areas inhabited by a majority of patriots.

I don’t know when or where the shot that will be heard around the world again will be heard but IMHO it has already been chambered.

    For those of us behind enemy lines there is a message;

“this is Uncle Sam, with music, and the truth until dawn. Right now I’ve got a few words for some of our brothers and sisters in the occupied zone: “the chair is against the wall, the chair is against the wall”, “john has a long mustache, john has a long mustache”. It’s twelve o’clock, American, another day closer to victory!”

    Death before slavery!

  5. Phelps says:

My fiancee lives in Maryland (she’s moving to Texas with me after we get married) and I can tell you that it’s all Baltimore and the DC suburbs. The rest of Maryland is as much West Virginia as it is anything.

Once you get out of DC, I’ve never seen so many pickups with rifle racks obscured by NRA, USMC, and Gasden flag stickers. And I live in Texas. My point is, we have plenty of allies in Maryland, and the whole state isn’t a loss. Just Baltimore and DC.

    • Legioinvictus says:

Phelps, you are absolutely right that outside of the DC burbs and Baltimore, the vast majority of Maryland is very red (I live in Annapolis which is at best sort of purple. Drive five minutes in any direction except Baltimore and the DC burbs and you’re in very red territory). Unfortunately, the DC burbs and Baltimore are super liberal and
have the population density to impose their socialist politics on the rest of the state. It’s the same in New York and is happening in Virginia (heck, look at how the so-called conservative Governor of Virginia betrayed all the conservatives in Virginia with the largest tax hike in Virginia history. This betrayal is all about pressure from the northern Virginia block) The northern Virginia suburbs with their population density has already turned Virginia purple, and I predict that within 10 years, Virginia will be blue. As soon as I can arrange it, I’m moving to West Virginia.

Two final thoughts. First, O’Malley has just killed any chance of a presidential run just like Coumo. They will both pay a heavy price for their gun grabbing.

Second, I hope Beretta moves out of the state. I’ll be sorry for my fellow Marylanders who will lose their jobs, but O’Malley and the rest of his fellow travelers need to be taught a lesson. Actions have consequences. A pox on them all.

      Sic Semper Tyrannis!

Alabama would be more than happy to welcome them to our fair state :-)

  7. gary says:

we will see how brave these corrupt democraps are when they are told by obama to pick up their guns and fight against the
2nd revolution. these traitors are cowards and will run away
    when the REAL WAR starts.

  8. david7134 says:

Come to Louisiana. YOu will be given tax brakes and welcomed with open arms.

  9. OpenTheDoor says:

Come on down to the low country, leave your bigotry home.
SC governor, female person of colour.
LA governor, male person of colour.
Tell the ignorant white crackers again how racist they all are.

  10. Al Reasin says:

The Beretta rep at the hearing in the House yesterday, said he is going to Europe to talk to the family about what they want to do. They moved their warehousing ops out in the 1990’s over gun control issues.

Prince George, Montgomery and Baltimore City are the very liberal areas that make the state BLUE. But in Cecil County, a very rural county, we are only around 75 registered voters RED. And we have a problem with conservative voter turnout; maybe because they believe that their vote won’t count in Blue MD. But we have a very large portion of voters who are unaffiliated. So with conservative Democrats, very good Republican turnout and convincing the unaffiliated to support us, conservative issues can win. But it takes more than hope to win. Conservatives have to be very proactive.

    • SeasonedSnake says:

im in MD, why would the unaffiliated vote with the republicans your people are the same as them, the only difference is who gets the money and contracts after the election,we watch,we see,we learn
