Dem Rep wants to ban ‘high capacity’ magazines, but doesn’t know what they are

An out-spoken gun control proponent in the House of Representatives proved conclusively yesterday that she doesn’t even know what she is trying to ban. Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado doesn’t know the difference between firearm magazines and cartridges they hold:

“I will tell you these are ammunition — bullets — so the people who have those now they are going to shoot them, and so if you ban — if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available,” she said.

From her own mouth, folks.  She thinks magazines are shot once and then discarded.

She has proven, conclusively, that she has no idea how firearms work. This means she is attempting to pass unconstitutional laws while being completely clueless about what she is attacking.

Someone should press her on what the Second Amendment is, just to hear her explain that¬† according to her understanding of the Constitution, guns “should not have a fringe.”

Obviously unconstitutional. Firearms should not be fringed.

Dianne DeGette thinks this is obviously unconstitutional. Firearms should not be fringed.

Also according to the Dem Rep, she plans on banning the following large magazines as well:
Better Homes and Gardens, Maxim, Reader’s Digest, Time, National Geographic and Scientific American.

You know “fringed” weapons are Ok if they belong to gay men…

I wonder if we can get her to attempt to ban since it might reduce gang related shootings.

    That would be awesome.
