The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

I hope he was playing some Cee Lo, too…

There were a few news items last week that took precedence over the story of Jared Marcum daring to assert his First Amendment rights to an absurd middle school teacher who told him to change out of a pro-Second Amendment tee shirt that conformed to the school’s dress code. Marcum wasn’t just suspended for wearing the shirt, he was arrested in a display of the abject, hysterical insanity that has taken over the public educational system.

Jared Marcum's "Protect Your Right" tee shirt that caused the faculty Marxists to lose their minds.

Jared Marcum’s “Protect Your Right” tee shirt that caused the faculty Marxists to lose their minds.

Well, Jared returned to school wearing the same shirt, essentially daring the school to try this horsecrap again:

The West Virginia eighth-grader who was suspended and, astonishingly, arrested last week after he refused to remove a t-shirt supporting the National Rifle Association returned to school on Monday.

In a move The Daily Caller can only characterize as courageous, 14-year-old Jared Marcum returned to Logan Middle School in Logan County, West Va., wearing exactly the same shirt, which depicts a hunting rifle with the statement “protect your right.”

Marcum was not confronted, arrested, or suspended, nor were other students that wore similar shirts in support. His attorney expects the absurd criminal charges to be dropped, and i can hardly wait for the civil rights trial.

“Marcum Middle School” has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Presumably, Marcum was whistling this tune when he strolled back into school…

… though not necessarily this “clean” version of the song.

Arrested?? I wonder what the charge was. You can bet if he had worn a Che shirt or a shirt with a rainbow and a pro-gay statement, he would have been just fine. What a bunch of BS

    • Survival Skvez says:

The charge was probably “non conformist thinking with intent to endanger the establishment”.

    • Klingonwork says:

So….does he have a lawsuit? I think so, and you’re right, had he worn a rainbow tshirt and been cross dressing as a girl…he’d of been carried into the school on the shoulders of the school board for diversity.

Idiot teacher told Jared to take off or turn out the shirt, but he refused. Said teacher then started yelling, according to witnesses.

So Jared was arrested for the commotion the teacher started.

      Laws are for little people.

Just awesome. This kind of high-viz civil disobedience is exactly what is needed to expose these tyrants. I tip my hat to the young man.

  3. captainfish says:

The charges (2) were “resisting arrest” and “interrupting\disrupting an educational process”.

He may not get files charged by the District Attorney, but he has been harmed. He needs to sue to get his record cleared and allowed those missed school days back.

Also, you guys hear about the 17-year veteran teacher suspended without pay for daring to show garden and home tools to 2nd graders? Suspended due to “bringing weapons to school”. I kid you not.

Another kid was also told to change his shirt by his High School for having a pro-gun shirt on that had an image of a gun and the words, “I plead the 2nd Amendment” on it. This kid was 18yo.

Where can I buy one of those shirts???
