The saddest truth in politics is that people get the leaders they deserve

Oh, so there was this other terrorist bomber we pinched two weeks ago in New York that you didn’t need to know about

Yeah, so I’m just going to drop this here, and walk away:

Just eight days before three people were killed and more than 260 people were injured in the Boston Marathon bombing, a Ukrainian student was arrested in New Jersey carrying two homemade devices.

Rutgers student Mykyta Panasenko, 27, was arrested in Hoboken on April 7 aboard a NJ Transit train bound for Suffern, New York. He was carrying two improvised explosive devices, according to police.

Jersey City Police Deputy Chief Peter Nalbach said Thursday that authorities also found material at Panasenko’s home ‘that may have been used to make an explosive device.’

According to a criminal complaint, Panasenko is charged with having ‘two destructive devices, specifically improvised explosive devices (IEDs) constructed from a cylinder containing Pyrodex (black powder)’ on April 5, the criminal complaint says.

He is also charged with ‘recklessly creating widespread risk of injury or damage to a building which normally contains 25 or more persons by constructing the explosive devices,’ reports the Jersey Journal.

Curiously, they don’t seem to have mentioned a target nor a motive, so I’m wondering if this foreign-born Unibomber was an actual terrorist planning to carry out an attack, or if he was just a nut who wanted to see if his bombs would go “bomb” in the woods.

    Fantastic, the train I took everyday to work when I lived up in the hell hole known as North Jersey.

    Don’t you get it we need a lot of these cases so that we can justify buying up all the ammo and armor plated vehicles. “Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear” I am not buying the crap being dished out! We read that terrorist his rights? WTF!

    Well you know that Obama’s media slaves have to protect him. Exposing Obama’s ineptness will not happen – he is their boy and they have too much invested in him to fail.

    While the country is in a fight of our lives against Islamofascism, Obama refuses to even use terms like “Islamist”, and “radical Islam”. We have a president that considers a man shooting and killing dozens of fellow soldiers on base while shouting “Allah Akubar” to be “workplace violence” not terrorism. Mr. Obama thinks that by being nice to terrorists we can all just get along. How wrong and how dangerous.

    This is strange in that another Rutgers student had been missing for several weeks and his body was just found. I wonder if there is a link.

    Also, note that their was a bombing attempt at VMI yesterday.

  5. david7134 says:

    Sorry, the student missing was from Brown.

    First off Pyrodex isn’t Blackpowder. It IS a black colored powder, but it is NOT a Low Grade explosive as real Blackpowder is. I hunt with a smoke pole and I’ve used BP and Pyrodex both. To get Pyrodex to actually explode would require adding additional materials to it. I used to work in a shop that dealt almost exclusively with BP firearms and ATF sent us a bunch of stuff in addition to Hodgdons and other powder manufacturers. Hodgdon’s literature was quite specific that Pyrodex could not explode unless a very narrow set of criteria were reached first. So unless the reporter is making an error, the suspect did go to the trouble making Pyrodex to explode or the Police department PIO made a misstatement.

    And this;

    “Megyn Kelly and Catherine Herridge just reported that the FBI believes the Boston Marathon bombs were detonated by someone standing within line-of-sight of the bombs, using a a toy car speed controller, and that therefor they are now considering the possibility of a 3rd bomber. This adds some credence to Glenn Beck’s reporting on the Saudi….
