Pelosi, Biden issue threats after Reid pulls faltering gun ban bill from Senate

Written By: Bob - Apr• 18•13

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi refuses to give up on her drive to cripple the Constitution.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday said passage of tougher gun controls is “inevitable,” projecting optimism less than 24 hours after the Senate voted down legislation central to President Obama’s strategy to reduce gun violence.

“It’s a matter of time,” Pelosi said Thursday during a press briefing in the Capitol. “It might be inconceivable to the NRA that this might happen; it’s inevitable to us.”

Vice President Joe “Two Blasts” Biden has promised that since the statist left were defeated in the Senate, a furious President Obama would instead attempt to issue executive orders that would undermine the Second Amendment.

Both threats came after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was forced to pull a collapsing gun control bill.

Listen up, gun-grabbers.

The Second Amendment of the Constitution merely codifies the preexisting right of rebellion that was the underlying justification for the Declaration of Independence. No Congress, Senate, or President, now or in the future, may infringe upon our rights.

A government that infringes upon those rights, and attempts to deny citizens those arms of contemporary military utility useful for the militia, invalidates its constitutional legitimacy and creates the conditions justifying an armed rebellion against that government.

At this particular moment in history, there are an estimated 110 million gun owners, owning 300+ million firearms, and a bare minimum of 15 billion rounds of ammunition.

All law enforcement agencies in the United States, along with all military forces, total less than 4 million souls, a small fraction of which that have jobs that involve proficiency with firearms.

I would strongly advise Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama to very carefully and soberly consider the ramifications of any despotic orders they would give, or unconstitutional laws they may try to pass.

The rights of citizens are sovereign.

Tread carefully.

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power.” Noah Webster

Perhaps der Fuehrer thinks if he issues a few EO threats we’ll all roll over and ‘compromise’ on legislation…not bloody likely! Like I said in a previous post, now he may now even feel free to issue an EO thinking, ‘I gave them a chance’.

Go ahead you socialist traitor S*B, issue an EO eliminating the Constitution.

    Watch what happens.

  5. I wrote about this very topic in January. If 0bama signs an executive order to confiscate guns, he does so at his own peril.

    • Right_2_Bear says:

Thanks. That is a good piece. But Obama won’t confiscate guns – not yet. It’s all about incrementalism and the steady neutering of the gun owner bit by bit. Regardless, do you really think gun owners will stand up and challenge the LEO’s when they come for their guns? There is recent precedent here: Hurricane Katrina. I don’t recall many taking that stand. It was pretty much “ok sir here you go – thank you officer – have a nice day!”. I hear so much talk of resistance to these unconstitutional schemes, but my guess is when the MRAP is rolling down the street it is going to be a different story.

      • Real Deal says:

Absolutely different situation with Katrina, people were trying to return to normalcy after a natural disaster. It was a gun grab, but it was not a nationwide assault on the 2A.

      • @Right_2_Bear — Yes, some people will give up their guns. The TX legislator that lost her parents to gun violence because she wasn’t allowed to carry her lawful gun into a restaurant has said she will give up her guns if it means protecting her children. Unfortunately, her children will be who the gov’t comes for next.

However, I believe that many will not. And when a police chief or sheriff starts seeing dead officers and deputies and realizes he won’t have enough people to help deter REAL crime, this confiscation will stop. Especially when he looks into the eyes of an officer’s child and has to answer the question, “Why isn’t my daddy coming home?” He will ask himself that question and answer it, 0bama. That’s when the police start siding with the 2nd amendment.

Excellent comments Bob. With that said, the “ruling class” simply doesn’t see it that way (that we the lowly serfs actually have ANY rights) including the right to protect ourselves and to rebel against their unconstitutional edicts. I wish it were that as a group we could demand a return to a constitutional government…but that would make us, in their minds…say it with me; domestic TERRORISTS. The SCOTUS has become the final arbiter of “our rights” under the BOR and Constitution. We missed losing Heller by a small margin. Can you imagine if that happens down the road?? In no way do I agree but the low information voters/obamamao cult followers have sealed our fates in the short term. Further, the “brown shirts” on all levels are prepared to use deadly force against us so, as you say, tread lightly and I would say, watch your “six”.

How would this gun bill have prevented U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Company from providing automatic weapons to criminals, drug cartels, etc.? That’s the question we need answered.

Of course Mr. Obama used Executive Privilege to prevent the people of the United States from learning just how many automatic weapons Eric Holder and Co. transferred to criminals with Fast And Furious, let alone whether they are *still* giving criminals these guns.

    • Right_2_Bear says:

Many range acquaintances have been surprisingly naive about this legislation and that it can’t possibly pass. It has been frustrating. I’ve always tried to impress upon them about Obama and that he is really I think unstable. He is very predictable in his almost childish like reactions to rejection and failures. I think we can count on UBC and a magazine ban as executive orders at a minimum. This boy president must have his way – you just don’t dis him like that and get away with it. He’ll bring down the whole frappin democrat party – even the whole country down in flames to satisfy his insecurities.

4 million souls looks like an impressive number until the lights and water start to go out in major cities. Talk about strapped for manpower.

  12. Raven_Mad says:

Have you been to the federal city?

I think everyone has. Here you will find the land of the Club Fed Vacation, where people come for the pay, but stay for the leave. The hours are very relaxed. The magic word for this is “flextime,” and so it’s not unusual to find clutches of “workers” wandering through those park-like settings, so reminiscent of early Rome.

What they dare not discuss would make for a list that is too long to detail; like the lifestyles that provide them all with quick access to their plush suburban homes. Few outsiders know of such comfort and security, made possible by having a job that will always pay, and never quit, because you can’t be fired. Need a loan?

Perhaps we could offer you a short form, the bankers will smile to so many Club Fed clients who leave the city nightly long before the sun has begun to set. The ultra-modern metro is one escape, though many prefer to drive their newer cars, and keep their private parking spaces.

    Where do they go?

Away from the “island” of course — and that’s all that Washington is really — an island.

They cross into Maryland and Virginia via a vast network of vulnerable bridges and freeways, some with famous names like “Key Bridge” and the “George Washington Parkway.”

What they have forgotten, or never learned, is that these structures are named for those who would cheer seeing this island isolated, if that was needed to protect Constitutional freedoms.

What they dare not forget is that there are many among us with a high-speed background who are not afraid, who sleep lightly, and who wake hours before the Dawn’s Early Light.

“No Congress, Senate, or President, now or in the future, may infringe upon our rights. Ever.”
Except for all the infringements that they have already got away with that the citizens of the US have already capitulated to. Such as: no fully automatic weapons, heavily regulated suppressors, background checks before being ‘allowed’ what you claim is a rite, most states many hoops before being allowed to carry open or concealed, still having huge ‘no gun’ zones.
Given the ground already lost and your tendency to claim a “victory” for keeping things the same instead of when you improve your rites I don’t see it as surprising that the anti-gun people think it’s inevitable.

They chip away at your rites, little by little. Some swings of the hammer don’t knock off a chip, but others do.
Chip chip … chip chip …
